Speak Up! Speak Out! Writing Competition
Barnet Council’s latest rendition of Speak Up! Speak Out! Is centred around the environment and raising awareness of these issues through creative writing or citizen journalism.
Entries should be up to 600 words and written by individuals and must include references to Net Zero aligning with BARNETZERO goals.
Prizes will be awarded to the winner in each category and to the runners up.

The Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service Animal Centre
Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service provides quality care for casualties and offers you the chance to see some incredible animals.

Walking in Barnet’s Greenspaces with Fit and Active Barnet (FAB)
As part of Barnet Climate Action Month, the borough is hosting a number of walks to promote walking in Barnet.
With free Active Trails and Healthy Heritage Walks and £2.80 Health walks and you can block book 10 walks for £22.40 or £18 if you are aged 60 years and over – with the option to pay on the day.

The RAF Museum
On July 3, head down to the Royal Air Force Museum to experience aviation history and get a fresh look at one of Britain’s top World War 2 fighter aces, Robert Stanford Tuck.

Touchpoints at Artsdepot
Touchpoints is an experimental, audio-based installation weaving together conversations with different people about their relationship to environmental stewardship in England.
At times throughout the installation, the public are invited to take part in one-on-one conversations with the artist and contribute their voice to the audio piece. This is a drop-in event with no booking required.
Open Friday June 13 to Sunday June 15, 10am-4pm
