Restoration work is getting underway at St Jude on the Hill – the Hampstead Garden Suburb Church which recently won a £300,000 grant to restore its beautiful 20th century frescoes.
The mural, painted between 1910 and 1940 by Walter Starmer, depicts biblical stories, and is one of the largest in the world.
