WATCH: Young Jewish Londoners divided over future in the UK amid rising antisemitism

Young Jewish Londoners are divided on whether their future lies in the UK after incidents of antisemitism have spiked since the October 7 attacks in Israel.

In the past 18 months, reports of anti-semitic incidents have reached record highs across the capital, leaving many in the community feeling fearful and let down by the authorities.

According to data released by the Campaign Against Antisemitism earlier this year, the rise in these incidents has made 67% of young Jewish people in the UK contemplate leaving the country in the past two years.

Aaron Black, an organiser for youth sport within the community, said: “Antisemitism is far more prevalent than it has ever been and it makes people feel less welcome and scared.”

However, some voices within the community have cast doubts about the statistics published by Campaign Against Antisemitism and believe that the level of anxiety prevalent amongst London’s Jewish youth is media-fuelled paranoia.

Watch the video to find out more about the debate that has gripped London’s Jewish community.
