A film crew has taken over the streets surrounding Primrose Hill as filming has begun for a new movie starring Ben Stiller and Nicholas Galitzine.
Residents of Chalcot Road had front-row seats to a dramatic scene in which a London double-decker bus appeared to crash into a vehicle outside the Princess of Wales pub, which had been transformed into a Greek restaurant for the shot.
While the street was closed during filming, locals could walk through the action in between takes.
Bella Steiner, 22, who works on a neighbouring road, said: “It was cool to be able to see so much of the filming, I didn’t even know it was happening.
“I was just on my way to grab lunch and first thought there had been an accident before a member of the crew told me they were shooting a new movie.
“I even got a glimpse of Nicholas Galitzine.”
Multiple London Fire Brigade engines and Metropolitan Police vehicles were seen staged around the area where many other surrounding shops and restaurants had been modified to resemble traditional looking storefronts.
The scenes were shot by film company, Humour Productions, while cast and crew took shade under gazebos in between takes as temperatures reached 30 degrees.

While the production has not been officially identified, Ben Stiller (Meet the Parents, Zoolander), Nicholas Galitzine (Red, White & Royal Blue, The Idea of You) and Bella Maclean (Sex Education, Rivals) have been spotted in other London locations filming for new Netflix movie, A Matter of Time, directed by Harry Bradbeer (Enola Holmes).
This is not the first time the colourful backdrop of Chalcot Road has been used as a movie set, with all three Paddington movies using Chalcot Crescent as the home of the Brown family, and scenes from Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason also being filmed in the area.
