Music royalty is descending on Camden Town tonight for a concert celebrating vocal powerhouse Amy Winehouse.
Singer Jorja Smith is among those paying tribute at Amy Winehouse: Back to Black at 20, which will be led by the album’s producers Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson.
The one-night-only event marks two decades since the release of her landmark album Back to Black, which won five Grammy awards and has sold more than 25 million copies.
Ronson said: “I’m honoured to be asked to come celebrate Amy alongside Salaam and some amazing artists worthy of singing her songs.
“Doing justice to the legacy of Back to Black is the order of the night.”
Despite her tragic passing in 2011, aged 27, Winehouse’s music continues to inspire some of the world’s most successful recording artists.
Speaking to Genius in 2019, Smith said: “I love her songs because you can feel every line. She’s so honest and poetic and just real.
“She’s laying everything out to you – that’s why I love her.”

Winehouse lived in Camden for all of her adult life, and launched her career playing shows in the area’s countless bars and clubs.
Her old collaborators, The Amy Winehouse Band, will perform Back to Black in full, with a selection of guest vocalists joining Smith including Yebba, Corrine Bailey Rae and Lianne La Havas.
The concert will be broadcast on BBC Two this Saturday at 8:35pm, and on BBC Radio 2 on Monday 26 October between 7-9pm.
