Comedian Nish Kumar attended a landmark event which brought together Britain’s Indian diaspora in London to mark 75 years of the Indian constitution.
The event, called ‘Are you India?’, was hosted by the Platform for Indian Democracy on 22 November in Friends House, Euston.
It aimed to encourage the UK’s Indian community to discuss and defend India’s founding constitutional values of secularism and pluralism through a series of panel events, cultural performances, and stalls.
Speakers included journalist Sanghita Myska, historian Rajmohan Gandhi, women’s rights activist Pragna Patel, and co-founder of the Platform Suresh Grover.
