Haringey Community Impact Award

Are you a Hero Volunteer? Get your application in for the Haringey Community Impact Awards

Applications for the Hero Volunteer or Team of the Year are soon to close for this year’s Haringey Community Impact Awards 2022.

The chance to apply for the award closes at 5pm on Monday 7th November, with those shortlisted informed by the 28th November.

This award is to recognise an individual or group of volunteers showing great passion for improving the lives of residents in the Haringey community.

The Haringey Community Impact Awards celebrate inspiring people, projects and initiatives in the Haringey communities.

Last year’s winner of the Hero Volunteer or Team of the Year was My Action For Kids Volunteer Team.

This year’s winners, awarded a trophy and a certificate, will be announced at the Haringey Community Expo 2022 on the 1st December.

Other awards on the night include categories such as health and wellbeing, community safety and community school project.

This year includes several new categories, including green and sustainability, working in partnership and arts and culture.

The finalists and the winners are decided by a panel of representatives from the volunteering and community sector, Haringey Council and residents.

Applicants will be judged on the difference they have made to the Haringey community and what they have achieved this year.

Factors such as how involved residents are in projects, innovation and overcoming the challenges set by the pandemic are also considered when choosing a winner.

Winners from the nine categories will also compete for the Outstanding Community Organisation of the Year, decided by the public on the night of the awards.

The awards are organised by The Bridge Renewal Trust, alongside The London Borough of Haringey, and are a part of the Haringey Community and Voluntary Sector Expo.
