WATCH: The north London Jewish community opposing Israel and Zionism

A north London Jewish community gathers outside the house of the Israeli Ambassador to the UK every Friday to protest Israel’s actions in Gaza.

These north London residents are members of the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network (IJAN), a global network of Jews opposing Zionism and the state of Israel.

IJAN members gather outside Israeli Ambassador Tzipi Hotovely’s house every week to demand a ceasefire in Gaza.

IJAN Founding Member Selma James said: “Every life matters and we’re very horrified at the way they’re killing children and women and taking the land from them, destroying their country, destroying their homes.

“We want no more killing in Palestine!”

According to IJAN’s charter, its members ‘are uncompromisingly committed to struggles for human emancipation, of which the liberation of the Palestinian people and land is an indispensable part’.

IJAN has chapters that span across the UK, United States, Argentina, Spain, Canada and France.

The Israel Embassy did not respond to a request for comment.
