Detectives are renewing appeals for witnesses following a fatal collision in Harrow.
Specialist collision investigators have named a man killed in a fail to stop collision in Harrow.
Ping Leung Cheng, 61, who was known as ‘Colin’, sadly died shortly before 1am on Sunday, 7 August.
His family was notified and they continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
Police were called at 12.15am on Sunday, 7 August after a member of the public came across Mr Cheng injured close to the junction of St Andrews Close and Culver Grove.
Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service.
Despite efforts of the emergency services, Cheng was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 1am.
Detective Sergeant Rebecca Collens from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Mr Cheng’s family deserve to know what led to his death and, if there was criminal wrongdoing, that should be punished appropriately.
“His family have suffered a terrible loss made all the worse by the many unanswered questions. We are doing all we can to give them the answers they deserve but we also need help from the public.
“Colin’s injuries are consistent with a collision having taken place.
“I would appeal to anyone who walked or drove along this stretch of road late on Sunday, 7 August, particularly around midnight, to reflect on their journey, to check any dash cam footage and to come forward if they have any information that could help us.”
