Man taken to hospital after shooting in Harlesden

A man was taken to hospital on Tuesday evening with a gunshot wound following reports of a shooting in Harlesden.

Police were called at approximately 21:45 to reports of the shooting in Park Parade, NW10.

Harlesden Police confirmed they provided first aid at the scene and the London Ambulance Service also attended. 

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, where his condition was deemed not life threatening.

A video posted on X showed officers at the scene an hour after the police were called. 

Harlesden Police posted on X to confirm the crime scene was closed at 08.49 the following morning. 

There were 1,085 firearm offences recorded in London in 2022/23, down from 2,127 five years ago in 2017/2018, according to Statista. 

There have been no arrests so far, and enquiries into the circumstances continue.
