The second annual SXSW (South by South West) London has officially concluded, leaving in its wake a week of discussion, debate, and memorable performances from superstars of today and tomorrow.
The festival was originally founded in Austin, Texas, in 1987 and SXSW later established its European branch in London in 2025.
Still in just its second year, the London edition has continued to position itself as a major hub for conversations around culture, politics and uplifting the creative industries.

This year, the festival became the centre of conversation beyond the panel discussions and music performances.
Political commentator Hasan Piker’s appearance was cancelled due to the Home Office denying his visa application, thus limiting the streamer’s ability to participate.
Meanwhile, former health secretary Wes Streeting faced criticism during his appearance over a lack of transparency and accountability in his role in Sir Keir Starmer’s government.
Despite these controversies, SXSW London succeeded in displaying some of the UK’s most exciting creative artists.
Rising pop star Rachel Chinouriri headlined a high energy performance on Wednesday, while audiences were also treated to appearances from queer drag performers and a rare set from viral street DJ, DJ AG.
