NFL Preview: Green Bay Packers take on New York Giants at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Tottenham Hotspur stadium will host another NFL International series game this weekend between the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers.

This is the Packers first visit to London whilst this will be the Giants third visit, undefeated on their previous bouts.

Both teams boast a 3-1 record so far this season, but last week couldn’t have been more different for them.

The Giants ran through the bears 20-12 with superstar running back Saquon Barkley rushing for 146 yards on 31 carries.

Barkley leads the league in total rushing yards and yards per game going into this week and could be heavily relied upon with the questions on fitness at quarterback.

The game took its toll with both quarterbacks leaving the game with injury, Daniel Jones (ankle) and Tyrod Taylor (concussion) are being monitored day by day with Davis Webb the only other option on the roster.

Despite their 3-1 record, the Giants have not faced an elite veteran quarterback like the Packers Aaron Rodgers, so the defensive backs in the Giants 31st rated pass defence will be tested.

The Packers, on the other hand, were nearly embarrassed by the Patriots who were using third string quarterback Bailey Zappe, winning in overtime 27-24.

Rodgers, last season’s MVP, has thrown three interceptions this season in only the first four weeks, nearly as many as he threw all of last season.

He will be hoping wide receiver Allen Lazard is fit to play, the fifth year player has had limited practice this week after an ankle injury.

Like the Giants, the Packers have used the running game effectively this season, both Aaron Jones and A.J Dillon are in the top 25 for total yards for Running Backs and will look to test the Giants defensive line.

The last meeting between the two came in November 2019 with the Packers winning 31-13 after Rodgers threw four touchdowns and the Packers made their way to the playoffs.
